Powerful BOSCH CX pedal assist
At the heart of the pedal-assist drive is the rugged, reliable, mountain-ready Bosch motor with additional, integrated motor protection. It supports speeds up to 15.5 mph
The Powerflys all use the latest Bosch CX motors. With either 500Wh or 625Wh batteries - very high quality, as you would expect from the brand.
Backed up by Trek's excellent cycle designs and superb warranty operation we really think you probably cannot buy a better product for our demanding Derbyshire terrain.
Just a few words about the battery options...the Watthour rating (Wh) is the capacity of the battery - it doesn't affect the speed or hill climbing ability of the bike. You can liken the battery capacity to the size of fuel tank in a car - the higher the Wh rating then the further you can go.
The 625Wh battery is 25% bigger than the 500Wh, so instead of being able to do, say, a 40 mile journey on one charge, then you might do 50 miles with the bigger battery.
The Powerfly 4 comes from Trek with the option of either battery.
The Powerfly 5 comes as standard with the 625Wh battery, but we can fit it with the smaller battery instead if you wish - this is a useful cost-saving if you do not need the longer range of the 625Wh battery.
